Tom Ford is an American designer born in Texas. His studied history at New York University and later studied architecture at Parsons School of Design. While studying in New York Tom Ford was a usual guest at the legendary Studio 54 club.
One of the first jobs Tom Ford took was a press officer post at Chloe where he realized his interest in fashion and designing. Tom Ford worked for Perry Ellis for some time, then took a job at Gucci, where after hard and a successful job he was offered a job of a creative director. Tom Ford brought glamour back to Gucci and helped the Brand to find a place in the world's top fashion houses. After breathtaking career and success at Gucci and when Gucci took over YSL, Tom Ford was offered to take role of creative director at YSL as well.
In 2004, however, Tom Ford left Gucci company and started his own fashion house selling Tom Ford menswear, Tom Ford fragrances and Tom Ford eyewear.
Tom Ford has also received many prestigious awards, such as Best International Designer ( VH1/Vogue Awards) and Menswear Designer of the Year (Council of Fashion Designers of America).
